Back in the 7th grade I remember having a science class that showed some odd looking animated shorts that talked about basic scientific principles. I remembered the name of the shorts was Eureka! and that they were made in Canada. That was enough to track down copies of the shorts on YouTube.
I really liked these cartoons. They were short, less than 5 minutes, and explained things in a simple and well illustrated way. I wonder if they are available on DVD, I’d love to show these to my 6 year old. In the meantime here’s the first episode, Eureka! – Inertia:

OMG! That was totally AWESOME! I’ve never seen those cartoons before, but they would have been great for learning about physics. I had to do it the HARD way. I had to look things up so I could get the jokes…
Actually, Joey, you saw them in 8th grade science. In Dad’s class to be precise.
Hmmm, I’m pretty sure I took that in 7th grade, not 8th grade. If my memory is right some did it in 8th and others in 7th, just depended on what year you landed in.
I was in 7th as well. With a bunch of 8th graders.
