I recently switched to Comcast at home. Today in the mailbox I found 10 separate letters from Comcast:
No idea why they felt it was necessary to use 10 separate envelopes for this, but i figured it must be pretty important. So I opened all 10, each contained a single piece of paper. After quickly scanning through the text of each one there were 2 groups of letters:
- First group– one letter indicating that I had a new password for one of their services, it included the new password in the text of the letter
- Second group– nine letters indicating that I had recently changed my password for one of their services
I’d call this overkill, but some how that just doesn’t seem strong enough.

Did you contact them about the overkill? Waste?
It is really a terrible waste of resources and of peoples time.
It does keep the postal employees working, and their own people employed, but at what environmental costs?
I use Comcast, but do not remember them mailing me any letters other than bills.
Did you check off that you wanted everything sent to you by mail?
I do not even use their email so I have very little contact with them other than their Internet service.
Yes, I’ve chatted with them about it. They are still looking into it.
