Another big issue with migrating to PHP7: extensions. The folks at goPHP7 have an Extension Catalog, a list of which extensions currently support PHP7 and which ones do not.
The good news is that most ( though not all ) of the core extensions are listed as working under PHP7. The bad news is that very few of the non-core extensions work with PHP7.
