Jedox Excel Worksheet server: Build web based worksheets using Excel. (via Harry Fuecks’s Sitepoint article).

Getting WMI info with PHP: Query the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) on Windows for all sorts of information. For small, simple amounts of data I think CSV is much easier to deal with than XML (XML will not cure all that ails you people, use if when it makes sense, not just because you can).

Early (very early) benchmarks for Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) on a G5 and G4: Overall performance was down on the G4 from Panther to Tiger (mostly due to OpenGL) but was higher on the G5. On the G5 everything was higher except for the UI tests which performed at 95% the speed of Panther. Hopefully as Tiger gets closer to a final release then performance will be better on both the G4 and G5.

SubEthaEdit: Ok, I give, I’ll download this thing and give it a try. Hmmm, with Rendezvous on Windows now available it would be nice to be able to share editing sessions on SubEthaEdit with Windows users.

PalmOne, Mac Section: This would be even more useful if I had a Palm OS device that wasn’t more than five years old 🙁

Aspyr, Mac Games: I’ve not played any serious games on my PowerBook yet, I wonder if the Mac version of BattleField 1942 can do network play with Windows versions.
