I’m sure we’d be surprised to see what people bring as “carry on items” on flights. That’s just the law of big numbers. If 1 person in 1Bn brings a car battery, that’s 3 people a year based on the number I quickly found online 🙂
That is the scary part, this rule probably came about because someone actually tried to pack a car battery in a carry on.
