The time has finally come, I’m going to start testing Postfix at work, with the goal of eventually replacing Sendmail. I stopped by Borders tonight and picked Postfix: The Definitive Guide so that I’ll have some reference material around the office. I look forward to adding an entirely new component to our email system, LDAP. I’m continuing to press our systems to use our LDAP user accounts for everything, this will be a big step forward.
In a way this is kind of sad, I’ve been beating Sendmail into submission for more than 7 years.
For all of those out there who are now screaming for Qmail, just keep that yourselves 🙂
