Health Data

When it comes to data about our health I think most of us would consider more is always better. With all the new health related devices out there collecting information you might wonder if we are on the verge of developing a treasure trove of health data. Dr. Jay Parkinson thinks many doctors won’t see it that way:

And, legally, ignorance is much better than negligence.

For doctors, it’s best to ignore these devices and this data. Too much data coming at you. And too many unknowns. With increasing data streams targeted at you and increasing risk of malpractice, it’s probably better to just keep your distance and call them “cute.”

That is a rather discouraging point of view.
